A group of cyber criminals are threatening to publish the private medical records of the Royal Family following a data breach at an exclusive private London hospital. The King Edward VII hospital was targeted in a cyberattack by the Rhysida ransomware group who have put the medical records up for auction on the dark web for £300,000. The group have said they will publish the medical records if a bidder does not come forward. The attack is the latest in a long line of incidents that have targeted the British Library, the University of West Scotland and the Prospect Medical Holdings Group in the US. Report by Caponm. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said the UK economy is suffering from a "sprained ankle" but rejected the diagnosis of a "broken leg" as he painted an optimistic picture of the future. The chancellor stressed the need for “positivity” about future growth prospects as he referenced Elon Musk's recent visit to the UK. "When Elon Musk was here three weeks ago, he said there were only two centres in the world for AI, San Francisco and London.
“We’ve got a lot going for us, so if we’re going to go into dealing with the sprain, rather than the broken leg, then let’s do so from a perspective of positivity," Mr Hunt said.

Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer says the government is looking at ways to ensure the licence fee remains affordable as it is set to rise with inflation. The licence fee, which funds BBC radio and television services, has been frozen at the annual price of £159 for the past two years but it was previously agreed it would rise in line with inflation after April 2024.
