UN Human Rights High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet released a controversial and a long-delayed report just hours before her four-year term ended.

The report accuses China of having committed crimes against humanity in Xinjiang.

The report hinting at abuses on the Muslim minority in Xinjiang was released despite Beijing having put substantial pressure te block the report for the remaining part of the year.
