In a tragic incident, at least 15 people have lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in an attack on a Catholic church in north-eastern Burkina Faso. The attack occurred during Sunday worship in Essakane village, Oudalan province, near the Mali border. The assailants, believed to be Islamist militants, targeted the church, leaving a community in shock.
