Reliance has been a pioneer when it comes to making technology affordable for the Indians, it was Reliance that made owning a cell phone so affordable in India, next they went on to make the internet available at a very cheap rate to the masses and now Jio is going to make laptops available to the people at a very affordable.
The Jio laptops, which are called Jio Book were very silently launched in the market and cost less than 20,000 rupees.
But if you think you can buy this right now at an electric store near you, then you will be disappointed.
The Jio laptop is currently available for purchase on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), which means only government employees will be able to purchase it, for now.
The Jio Book offers a plastic build and there is a Jio logo on the lid.
