Andrea Leadsom: 'No chance' Penny Mordaunt will step down
Penny Mordaunt supporter Dame Andrea Leadsom says "there is absolutely no chance" that Penny Mordaunt will step down if she receives 100 nominations from MPs on Monday before the Conservative party members indicative vote on Friday to decide the next leader of the party.
The former cabinet minister says supporters are "supremely confident" Penny Mordaunt has the backing of enough MPs despite only 25 supporting her publicly.
