13-year-old student shot by another student on Oakland middle school campus, officials say

A 13-year-old boy was sent to the hospital Monday afternoon after officials said he was shot on campus by another student.

The Oakland Police Department said one student shot another at 1:30 p.m.

On the campus of Madison Park Academy.

The shooter was taken into custody and officers seized the weapon.
