Manipur situation to improve in next one week: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma
Sunday, 2 July 2023 Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said Saturday the Union home ministry and the Manipur government are working together "silently" to restore peace and normality in the strife-torn northeastern state and he is confident that the situation will get better in the coming days.
Delhi police on Saturday detained former personal secretary of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar, in connection with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal assault case. In her complaint to the police, Maliwal alleged Kumar attacked her at Kejriwal’s residence on May 14 with “full force, slapping and kicking her in the chest and abdomen.” According to National Commission For Women (NCW) Chairperson Rekha Sharma, Kumar was ‘arrested’ from Kejriwal’s home.
