Rajasthan CM meets tribal woman stripped by kin, vows aid, job

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot visited Pratapgarh district on Saturday to meet a 21-year-old pregnant tribal woman who was allegedly stripped and paraded by her 22-year-old husband and his family in a village on August 31. He announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh along with a government job for her amid a political maelstrom as BJP accused the the Congress government of failing to protect women in the state, referencing a similar crime in Manipur.
