Sunday, 29 October 2023 Following the explosion at a convention center linked to a Christian group in Kochi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah contacted Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday to evaluate the situation, as per official sources. In response to the home minister's orders, teams from the National Security Guard (NSG) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are being dispatched to Kerala to provide assistance to the state government. The explosion at the convention center in Kalamassery, Kochi, claimed one life and left more than 35 individuals injured.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident.
