7 of family die as speeding truck hits car in Rajasthan

Tragedy struck in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, late on Saturday when a car collided head-on with a speeding truck, resulting in the loss of seven family members, including three children, and injuring two others. Police reported that the truck, carrying a load of cement, was engaged in reckless overtaking when it collided with the car on the Hanumangarh-Sardarshahar highway around 10 pm. The family had been returning from a birthday celebration, and the accident transpired just four kilometers away from their residence in Naurangdesar. The truck driver fled the scene.
