The Indian Army's aviation unit successfully tested a new generation rocket and turret ammunition system from the Rudra attack helicopter, the first indigenous attack chopper. The Rudra, a weaponized version of the Advanced Light Helicopter (Dhruv), is designed for reconnaissance, troop transport, anti-tank warfare, and close air support. Currently, the Army has over 180 Dhruvs, including around 60 Rudras, while the IAF, Navy, and Coast Guard also possess these helicopters.
