Agitation seeking MGNREGA dues prompted central agencies to harass party: TMC

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
The Trinamool Congress has accused the BJP-led central government of targeting its leaders in order to weaken the party's agitation for MGNREGA dues. The TMC questioned why no action was being taken against BJP leaders who are allegedly involved in corruption. The party believes that the BJP is using central agencies to harass TMC leaders and frame them in order to weaken opposition parties in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, claimed that corruption was institutionalized in the TMC regime.

TMC Vs Suvendu Adhikari: ‘Sandeshkhali viral video doctored’| BJP will sweep Bengal | Elections 2024

Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, launched a scathing attack on the TMC government and Mamata Banerjee. Adhikari dismissed the viral Sandeshkhali Video, which purportedly showed a BJP worker admitting the party's involvement in the Sandeshkhali incident, as orchestrated. He called for a CBI investigation into the matter. Additionally, Adhikari emphasised his previous victory over Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram and expressed confidence that the people of Bengal would ensure she does not serve as Chief Minister again. #TMCvsSuvendu #BengalPolitics #ViralVideoControversy #SuvenduAdhikari #BJPSweep #BengalElections #2024Elections #LS2024 #PoliticalRivalry #DoctoredVideo #BengalLoP #ElectionDrama #PoliticalShowdown #CampaignTrail #PollingSeason ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.101~
