Wednesday, 22 November 2023 Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, once known for Naxalite activities, has become the second most important district for development in the state after Noida. The district has attracted 43 investment projects worth about Rs 79,000 crore, signaling a significant turnaround. Improved infrastructure and connectivity have helped eradicate Naxal activities and position Sonbhadra as a key area for Uttar Pradesh's progress. Despite its abundant resources, investors were previously deterred due to Naxalite threats.
