20 women candidates win in Rajasthan; their strength lower than outgoing assembly
Sunday, 3 December 2023 In Rajasthan, 20 women candidates emerged victorious in the assembly elections. The BJP and Congress each had nine winning women candidates, while two were Independents. The outgoing assembly had a total of 24 women members. The BJP won 115 seats in the elections, while the Congress won 68 seats. The final result of one seat was awaited, with the Congress leading by a narrow margin. The Bharat Adivasi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Rashtriya Lok Dal, and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party also won seats.
