Veterans, security analysts welcomes Supreme Court verdict on Article 370

The Supreme Court's historic judgment upheld the abrogation of Article 370, calling for Assembly elections by September 2024. The 70-year-old Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was abrogated by the BJP-led NDA government in 2019. The court's verdict has laid to rest all controversies and completed the constitutional integration of J&K with India. The abrogation of Article 370 has had an impact on militancy-related incidents in the region. The government took several measures ahead of the abrogation, including evacuating tourists and students and putting political leaders under house arrest.
