The Indian Navy swiftly responded to the distress call from the cargo carrier MV Ruen and deployed platforms to assist the hijacked vessel with 18 crew onboard. The Indian Navy aircraft overflew the hijacked vessel and continuously monitored its movement towards the coast of Somalia.
