Saturday, 16 December 2023 The Indian government has declared a one-day state mourning on Sunday in honor of the passing of Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who died at the age of 86 on Saturday. The Union Home Ministry, in a communication to all states, announced that on December 17, during the state mourning period, the national flag would be flown at half-mast in all regular flag-flying locations across India. Additionally, there will be no official entertainment on this day.
