Telangana varsity suspends 81 girls for ragging
In Telangana, Kakatiya University has suspended 81 women postgraduate students from the university hostel for one week over allegations of ragging junior students at the Padmakshi girls' hostel on campus. The university authorities stated that junior students in economics, commerce, and zoology were subjected to ragging by their seniors from the same departments, and the harassment had been ongoing for three days. Despite the continuous harassment, the juniors did not report the incidents to department heads or hostel staff.
