ED summons: Sharad Pawar backs Kejriwal, accuses Centre of misusing power
Friday, 5 January 2024 Sharad Pawar, the president of the Nationalist Congress Party, expressed support for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in light of the Enforcement Directorate summoning him. Pawar accused the central government of misusing power to intimidate those with differing political views. He also mentioned that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has received similar summons and could also face arrest. Pawar highlighted that Kejriwal, who has a clean image, has been targeted with notices by the ED, and it would not be surprising if he is arrested. Additionally, Pawar alleged that these actions were aimed at discouraging those with dissenting political views.
