India reports 514 new Covid cases, three deaths in 24 hours

IndiaTimes Thursday, 11 January 2024
India recorded 514 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the active caseload to 3,422. The recent rise in cases can be attributed to the new variant (JN.1) and a drop in temperature. Three deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking up the country's death toll to 5,33,409. Additionally, 682 cases of the JN.1 sub-variant have been reported across 12 states. With the surge in coronavirus infections, the Centre has suggested that individuals with comorbidities use face masks as precautionary measure.
