Massive storm wreaks havoc in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri, 4 killed
Sunday, 31 March 2024 Four persons were killed and at least 70 people injured as a storm wreaked havoc in parts of Jalpaiguri district in northern West Bengal on Sunday.
Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, launched a scathing attack on the TMC government and Mamata Banerjee. Adhikari dismissed the viral Sandeshkhali Video, which purportedly showed a BJP worker admitting the party's involvement in the Sandeshkhali incident, as orchestrated. He called for a CBI investigation into the matter. Additionally, Adhikari emphasised his previous victory over Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram and expressed confidence that the people of Bengal would ensure she does not serve as Chief Minister again.
