Ahead of Xi Jinping talks, Joe Biden says US 'not trying to decouple from China'

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 14 November 2023
President Joe Biden has stated that the United States is not seeking to distance itself from China, but rather wants to improve the relationship. The two leaders will meet at the APEC summit in California, with Biden hoping for a return to normal correspondence and military contact between the two countries. However, Biden also expressed wariness about investing in China. While progress has been made on trade, issues such as Taiwan and military expansion remain red lines for China.
