Kanhaiya Kumar mocks MP home minister's 'film fixation', says state top in crimes against women, tribals
Sunday, 30 July 2023 Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar on Sunday attacked Madhya Pradesh home ministerNarottam Mishra by claiming the latter was more interested in clothes worn by Deepika Padukone in films even as the state is witnessing "maximum atrocities" against women and tribals.
In another blow for the Congress party, its candidate from the Indore constituency, Akshay Kanti Bam, withdrew his nomination for the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections 2024, announced District Election Officer Ashish Singh. Accompanied by BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola, Bam visited the Collector's office to formalise the withdrawal of his candidature. Following this action, Akshay Bam promptly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to Madhya Pradesh Minister and BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya.
