'Safer to stay in jail': Court rejects Chandrababu Naidu's plea seeking house custody

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 12 September 2023
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's request for house custody has been rejected by a local court in Vijayawada. Naidu, who is currently in judicial custody for an alleged multi-crore scam, had sought home custody citing threat perception. However, the court stated that providing Z-plus security would not be possible under house arrest. Naidu's wife expressed concern over his security in confinement. TDP leaders have condemned his arrest, claiming he is being framed.
