C-295 transport plane: All you need to know about IAF's newest addition to its transport fleet
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will receive its first C-295 transport plane during a ceremony in Spain. The aircraft, manufactured by Airbus, is part of a contract worth nearly Rs 22,000 crore. The C-295 can carry up to 71 troops or 49 para-troopers at a maximum speed of 260 knots. It has low-level flight capabilities and a rear ramp door for quick reaction and para dropping.
