The Rajsamand district in Rajasthan is witnessing a fierce battle between the Congress and BJP ahead of the state elections. With both parties winning two assembly seats each in the 2018 elections, the Congress hopes to capitalize on the infighting within the BJP. The BJP's decision to field Kiran Maheshwari's daughter, Deepti Maheshwari, has sparked rebellion within the party, with some calling her an "outsider" and "dynast." Meanwhile, the Congress lacks a strong leader to take advantage of the BJP's weaknesses. The district remains faction-ridden for both parties.
