Those behind Kanhaiya Lal murder are 'BJP people': Rajasthan CM Gehlot
Monday, 13 November 2023 Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has alleged that the murderers of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal were "BJP people" who were released from police custody under pressure from the party. The BJP, however, dismissed the claim and blamed the Congress government for failing to contain communal incidents. Gehlot also raised doubts about the investigation conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the murder case, accusing the BJP of intentionally slowing down the investigation for political gain.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
