IndiaTimes Friday, 24 November 2023
Union minister Anurag Thakur announced that the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' will reach around 2.7 lakh panchayats in the country. The yatra aims to make people aware of the central government policies and ensure last-mile delivery. It will include free medical camps and a resolution to make India a developed nation by 2025. The campaign was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has already reached over one lakh people in 259 Gram Panchayats. The initiative plans to expand its reach and provide essential services such as sanitation, financial services, electricity, housing, food security, healthcare, water, and education.
