'Now in coming days, BJP will try to make UT of Kolkata, Mumbai': Asaduddin Owaisi on SC upholding abrogation of Article 370
Monday, 11 December 2023 After the Supreme Court upheld the abrogation of Article 370, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed dissatisfaction. He stated that Kashmir has always been an integral part of India and criticized the division of the state into three Union Territories. Owaisi also warned that the BJP might attempt to make Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai into Union Territories. He argued that the abrogation of Article 370 violated constitutional morality and was a betrayal to the people of Kashmir.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
