Haryana Cabinet approves 'The Haryana Honourable Disposal of Dead Body Bill, 2024' to criminalize protests using corpses. Violators will face fines and imprisonment. Legislation ensures timely last rites and prevents the deceased body from being used for demands. Public authorities have the responsibility to ensure proper last rites if family members disown the body.
