Russia's Putin immerses in sub-zero waters to mark Epiphany

Vladimir Putin celebrated Orthodox Epiphany by immersing himself in sub-zero water and clambering through a hole in the ice, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Epiphany is commemorated on January 19th, when the devout dive into ponds and pools through holes in the ice. Belgorod, a Russian city bordering Ukraine, suspended its customary Orthodox Epiphany celebrations due to a threat of threats from Kyiv.
