'Shogun' makers to back Japanese retelling of Oppenheimer'

The highly anticipated series 'Shogun' set in 17th century Japan is gearing up for its big debut on February 27. The historical drama, based on the best-selling novel by James Clavell, aims to bring diverse perspectives to cinema. As the Japanese show arrives in time for the Oscar season, where the front-runner is Christopher Nolan's controversial film 'Oppenheimer', ETimes posed a question to Justin Marks and Rachel Kondo, whether they would endorse a project that is a Japanese retelling of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
