North Korea fires missiles, derides South Korea's Moon as 'impudent'
Friday, 16 August 2019 North Korea launched at least two short-range ballistic missiles on Friday, South Korea's military said, shortly after Pyongyang described South Korea's president as "impudent" and vowed that inter-Korean talks are over.
A South Korean drone display has reminded citizens to wear a face mask and keep socially distanced during the coronavirus pandemic.The display, which took place above the capital Seoul, saw more than 300 drones take flight for a 10-minute show.

Vaikasi Visakam festival was celebrated in Tamil Nadu's Madurai on June 04. The celebration took place at Pazhamudircholai Murugan Temple in Madurai. No devotees were allowed at the temple to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Two priests performed rituals of the festival. Vaikasi Visakam occurs when the full Moon coincides with auspicious Vishaka star during the Tamil month of Vaikasi.

Loudspeakers blaring propaganda across the border were seen reinstalled in North Korea on Tuesday (June 23) after such systems were taken down when the two Koreas signed an accord in 2018 to cease "all hostile acts".

The comments came one day after North Korea barraged an inter-Korean liaison office with criticism of the south. South Korean Blue House presidential spokesman Yoon Do-han said the criticism was very rude. The criticism is coming from Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
