Greensill lobbying scandal: Former top official who worked for firm denies conflict
Tuesday, 8 June 2021 The government's former chief procurement officer who became an adviser to Greensill Capital while still working as a civil servant says there was no conflict of interest as he fulfilled both roles.
Former prime minister David Cameron has been asked if he has any regrets over the Greensill lobbying scandal which led to an emergency review of lobbying guidelines by Lord Evans. The report, which could see ministers banned from lobbying for up to five years after leaving office and handed fines for breaking the rules, is due to be published tomorrow. Report by Czubalam.
