Alec Baldwin files lawsuit against prosecutors in fatal Rust shooting case
Friday, 10 January 2025 Alec Baldwin has filed a lawsuit against prosecutors who pursued a criminal charge against him after the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.
Alec Baldwin isn't on trial for the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins anymore, but heβs clearly still upset over getting prosecuted over the "Rust" shooting tragedy... βcause he's now suing the prosecutors and investigators involved in his case.
'Rust' writer-director Joel Souza has complicated thoughts on his creation, and he says he has "no relationship" with the film's star Alec Baldwin. After several years and an enormous tragedy, 'Rust' will finally be released. Back in 2021, the movie's cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died after she was accidentally shot on set by Baldwin. After much debate, Souza and the cast and crew returned to finish the film. But, quite naturally, Souza says he wishes he never made the film in the first place.
