Starmer calls Auschwitz visit 'utterly harrowing' as he vows to fight 'poison of antisemitism'
Friday, 17 January 2025 Sir Keir Starmer has called his visit to Auschwitz "utterly harrowing" and said he was determined to fight the "poison of antisemitism".
Kemi Badenoch welcomed the winter fuel payment U-turn, insisting it should have happened sooner. Speaking on Monday, the Conservative party leader said: "I'm glad the government has finally done this but what took them so long? I asked Keir Starmer six times at the despatch box at PMQ's why he was doing this and that he needed to reverse it."

The technical team used the most advanced spatial scanning technologies to create a digital replica of the Auschwitz I camp. The project was recognised at the Cannes Film Festival. We interview Bartosz Bartyzel, a spokesman for the Auschwitz Museum, to learn more about the project.
