Video of the fatal attack on BJP's minority front district president and former Vice Chairman Mushtaq Qureshi has gone viral. In the viral video about a dozen masked youth came in a car on Highway No.3 with sticks in their hands. Miscreants brought him out of his house and started thrashing him with sticks on road. Mushtaq is in a critical condition and has been admitted to Agra's hospital.
Former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and Congress leader, Kamal Nath sparked controversy after his comment on Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Imarti Devi, while addressing a rally in MP's Gwalior ahead of Madhya Pradesh bypolls. While referring to Imarti Devi, Kamal Nath said, "Yeah kaun item hai?' BJP leader Imarti Devi broke into tears while speaking to ANI. In her reply said, "What's my fault if I was born in a poor family? What is my fault if I belong to Dalits? I want to appeal to Sonia Gandhi, who is also a mother, to not keep such people in her party. If such words will be used for women then how can any woman move forward?"
The mortal remains of Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder leader Ram Vilas Paswan was being taken to his residence from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on October 09. Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan was present outside AIIMS along with other party workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his last respects to Ram Vilas Paswan at his residence in Delhi. BJP national president JP Nadda, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan also paid their last respect to Ram Vilas Paswan. Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Giriraj Singh and MoS Ashwini Kumar Choubey came along with PM Modi to pay tribute. Paswan passed away at the age of 74 on October 08. He recently underwent heart surgery in Delhi. He has served as the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government. His son Chirag Paswan broke the news on his Twitter account.
BJP MP Giriraj Singh called Rajya Sabha ruckus, an exhibition of Urban Naxalism values. Singh said, "I believe that it was not just an incident that happened in Rajya Sabha. The attack on the Deputy Speaker was an attack on the constitutional values of this country. This was an exhibition of Urban Naxalism values. Naxals also, say that they want to build up a just society but by killing people, damaging property and so on. The opposition should not play the role of "Dhritarashtra" here. The people of India will not tolerate this."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi digitally launched 'Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana'. The Prime Minister also launched e-Gopala App for farmers. Other initiatives in fisheries and animal husbandry sectors were inaugurated in Bihar. "Our villages should become the pillars of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Work related to fisheries, animal husbandry sectors will help our villages grow. Today, PMMSY scheme is being launched in 21 states of the country. In the coming 4 to 5 years, over Rs 20,000 crore will be spent on PMMSY. Out of this, work of worth Rs 1,700 crore is being started today," he said. The launch event was conducted via video conferencing. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Minister for Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Giriraj Singh were also present at the event.

In the event, he said, "If a party office operates from a politician's residence, then party belongs to that person. In case of other parties, family has become party. Large power cut hit Mumbai and neighboring areas on October 12 leading to blackout for nearly two hours. After the massive outage, Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy, RK Singh, informed that the power supply has been restored substantially. He further informed that the national grid is fine and the problem happened in some parts of the state grid. Power Minister said, "The power supply has been restored substantially, out of 2000 MW which went off, about 1900 MW has been restored, and the remaining will be restored soon. The national grid is fine, the problem happened in some parts of the state grid." "We are sending a team from the Central Authority to Mumbai to sit down with the state transmission authority and find out where the problem was and how it started. There will be a discussion on the steps to be taken so it doesn't happen again," Singh added.
Union Minister RK Singh has said that the BJP can win elections in Bihar by itself but will not leave the JDU. Singh, who is Member of Parliament from Arrah constituency in Bihar, said that it the 2019 Lok Sabha polls made it very evident that BJP is the most popular party in the state. The Union Minister however reiterated that the BJP would not abandon its long time partner JDU. Singh also spoke on the seat sharing issue and said that it would be settled amicably. He added that seat sharing should be based on the results of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Singh also took a jibe at the Mahagathbandhan and said that the bloc has disintegrated and is nowhere in the fray in the upcoming Bihar polls and added that the induction of Jitan Ram Manjhi Hindustan Awam Morcha into the NDA was evidence of the same. Uttar Pradesh police arrested the main accused in Ballia shooting case on Sunday. UP police's Special Task Force nabbed Dhirendra Singh from Lucknow. Police informed that arms have also been recovered from the possession of Singh and his accomplices. A man was shot dead in Ballia following scuffle over allotment of ration shops. The meeting was attended by administration and police officials on Thursday. A large group had gathered for the meeting held in a tent in Ballia's Durjanpur village.
