Saturday, 3 December 2022 Strong protests erupted across Assam against Lok Sabha MP and AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal for his statement on Friday, advising Hindus to adopt the "Muslim formula" of marrying early and producing many children to increase the population. After the backlash, Ajmal said on Saturday: "If my words hurt anyone's sentiments, I take back my words. I only want the govt to do justice to minorities and give them education and employment."
AIUDF Supremo and Lok Sabha MP from Assam Badruddin Ajmal landed himself in a soup after his controversial and nasty remarks purportedly targeting the Hindu community. The Assam MP has now issued an apology saying that he had no intention of hurting anyone's sentiments.

1528-2019…that’s 491 long years..!! For almost 500 years, one edifice in India remained a bone of contention between Hindus and Muslims…Although it was not until 1855 when the Nirmohi Akhara claimed the rights to the land, where the mosque stood… that the matter came to head and religious fervour overshadowed sanity. Since 1992, 6 december has been observed as the day the Babri Masjid was demolished. This demolition was a harbinger of large-scale riots, acts of vengeance and fraying of religious symbiosis in Indian history…. Today, we take a look at the event itself… and how the destruction of a single religious structure became a watershed moment in India’s contemporary history.
