Tribal girl from Chandrapur raises the bar, gets Maharashtra govt grant for LLM degree in London

Priya Yashwant Tadam, a 24-year-old tribal girl from Bhanapur village in Chandrapur district, has received a scholarship of ₹37.61 lakh from the Maharashtra government to pursue her dream of studying LLM in London. Priya and her sister had to walk two kilometers to attend school, and they later moved to different places to continue their education. Priya completed her law degree in Nagpur and interned at the district court and high court there. With the help of acquaintances, she secured admission to Queen Mary University of London.
