'Ghosh destroyed proof, ex-OC part of cover-up bid'

Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, and Abhijit Mandal, ex-officer-in-charge of Tala police station, have been remanded in CBI custody until September 17. They are accused of involvement in a larger conspiracy and destruction of evidence related to the rape and murder of a trainee doctor on August 9. The CBI criticized initial police handling.
