Ranya Rao case effect: No security protocol for bureaucrats' family at Bengaluru airport anymore

The Karnataka government will revise its standard operating procedures, ensuring that only senior bureaucrats, not their family members or friends, receive protocol privileges. This decision follows the gold-smuggling arrest involving actor Ranya Rao, who allegedly misused the security protocol at KIA. Additional security will be provided only in case of a direct threat to an official.
