Saturday, 12 July 2025 () Ashwini Ganapathi, an endurance athlete from Karnataka, completed the Deep Japan Ultra 100. This is a very tough trail race in Asia. She was the only non-Japanese athlete to finish the 173km course. The course had a 9,000-metre elevation gain. Ashwini ran for 45 hours and 42 minutes. She carried her own food and safety gear.
