Scientists uncover 'Lost City' beneath Atlantic Ocean

Scientists have discovered the Lost City Hydrothermal Field, an otherworldly environment with towering structures and a thriving ecosystem. This hydrothermal field is located close to an underwater mountain west of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. It features creamy carbonate towers, some up to 60 meters tall. The Lost City is unique because it has sustained its existence for at least 120,000 years and contains hydrocarbons formed on the deep seafloor....
