Republic TV faces probe for TRP fraud, Arnab Goswami hits back|Oneindia News

Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Thursday claimed to have busted a racket that involved private television channels manipulating their Television Rating Points, or TRP.

One of the three channels is Republic TV while the other two are local Mumbai channels.

As the UP POlice probe continues in the Hathras gamgrape case, the prime accused in the alleged gangrape and brutal assault of a 19-year-old Dalit girl in Hathras has claimed that he and three other accused in the case are being framed by the woman’s family as her kin did not approve of the friendship between them.

The Apex court of India said on Thursday that Freedom of speech is one of the most abused freedoms during recent times.
