As Bhima river water levels increased, police blocked part of NH-50 for traffic in Kalaburagi district on Oct 16.

Commuters stuck on the way are undergoing hardships.

"We've been stranded here for 2 days.

There's nothing to eat or drink.

The water is still 5-6 feet below the bridge but we aren't being allowed to cross," said a driver.

Several areas nearby are flooded.
