Cargo ship captain arrested in North Sea is Russian national
The captain of the Solong cargo ship who was arrested after crashing into an oil tanker in the North Sea off the coast of East Yorkshire is a Russian national, according to the ship's owner.
Police have opened a criminal investigation into the crash and arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
One man is missing, presumed dead, following the incident.

An Air India plane carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew has crashed shortly after take-off in Ahmedabad in northwest India.
