Jindal Power only player in fray for grounded GoAir

IndiaTimes Thursday, 12 October 2023
Jindal Power, owned by Naveen Jindal, has submitted an expression of interest (EoI) for GoAir (GoFirst), which ceased operations in May. Two other foreign parties also submitted EoIs but did not qualify, leaving Jindal as the sole contender. The resolution professional appointed by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is currently examining the EoI. GoAir, facing unpaid salaries and lease repossession cases, has received claims worth $2.9 billion from creditors. The airline had received conditional approval from the DGCA to resume operations with 15 aircraft, pending court and NCLT cases.
