Aamir suggested Sharat's name for Ghulam

Sharat Saxena revealed that it was Aamir Khan who suggested his name for the role in 'Ghulam' as he felt the actor would be suitable for a boxer's role. Despite receiving praise for his performance, Saxena did not get much work after the film due to the industry shutdown caused by Gulshan Kumar's death. Rani Mukerji shared that the filmmakers chose to dub her voice in the film, believing that mainstream actresses should have a more shrill tone.
