DYK Aishwarya was the initial choice for Vidya's Parineeta?

Vidya Balan's debut film 'Parineeta' recently marked 20 years, but Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was initially considered for the lead role. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted a bigger star, but Vidya secured the part after 75 auditions. Music composer Shantanu Moitra recalls Vidya's perseverance, revealing she almost gave up before finally landing the role at a Bryan Adams concert.
