932 'Shramik Special' trains operated so far, over 11 lakh migrants ferried home
Friday, 15 May 2020 The Railways has operated 932 Shramik Special trains since May 1, ferrying home 11 lakh migrant workers who were stranded in various parts of the country due to the coronavirus-triggered lockdown, officials said. On Friday, Railways operated 145 such trains. Of these, Uttar Pradesh received the maximum number of trains followed by Bihar, they said.
Migrant workers gathered at Chandigarh Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) on May 14. All the workers will be screened before boarding the buses to the railway station. A criminal was arrested following an encounter with police in the Dadri area of UP's GautamBuddha Nagar. The encounter occurred near Amka Village of Dadri. The criminal fired at the police party. He was injured in retaliatory firing by police. The miscreant has been sent to hospital for medical treatment. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered.

Of these tableaus, the one which is the centre of attraction is the one which is carrying the Ram Temple replica. A replica of Ram Temple will be depicted in Uttar Pradesh's tableau which will be showcased in the Republic Day parade on January 26. The bedecked tableau is fronted by a sitting model of Maharishi Valmiki and the temple model is on the rear side. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his mother Rabri Devi visited Ranchi's RIMS hospital to check on jailed party chief Lalu Yadav's health.
